Chemung County Sheriff’s Office identifies remains found in Elmira in 2022

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has announced that they have identified remains found in Elmira back in November of 2022.

According to police, the remains were that of Randy Seck, who would have been 30 years old at the time his body was discovered by a hunter in a wooded area off of Bowlby Road.

Seck’s remains were identified with the help of the FBI and a forensic genealogical testing company.

The investigation into Seck’s death is ongoing.
