The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the investigator who was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident.
According to a Facebook post on Friday, Investigator Mike Theetge remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.
The sheriff’s office said over the past several days Theetge has shown signs of improvement and they remain cautiously optimistic that his recovery will continue to go in that direction.
The Theetge family and the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their continued thoughts and prayers as well as the outpouring of donations to assist the family on his long road to recovery.
