A Corning man is facing weapons and menacing charges following an incident last month.
According to Corning Police, 53-year-old James M. Feenaughty was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a Class D felony, and two misdemeanor counts of menacing in the second degree.
Feenaughty was arrested following an incident that took place on Thursday, Oct. 31 on Jennings Street in Corning. The suspect allegedly threatened another person with an expandable baton and a reported handgun.
Police surrounded Feenaughty’s home and after a short standoff, he attempted to escape but was taken into custody by officers.
He was arraigned and released to appear at a later date.
