A 31-year-old Elmira man has been arrested for allegedly trying to have sex with at least one minor.
According to WENY-TV, Jacob Brewer allegedly contacted a 16-year-old girl through social media and gave out his phone number to the victim.
Police said the suspect tried to arrange a meeting and sent sexually explicit messages, photos and videos to a parent, who he thought was the minor.
A New York State Trooper then took over the text threat from the parent.
Investigators found multiple conversations on various apps with numerous females, including some who are believed to be minors.
Brewer has been charged with attempted enticement of a minor, attempted receipt of child porn and attempted possession of child porn.
If he is convicted, he could face up to 20 years in state prison.
