A 32-year-old Elmira man has been arrested for assault following an incident on North Main Street on June 15th.
According to Elmira Police, John-Tel D. Scharborough has been charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, unlawful imprisonment in the first degree, a Class E felony, and a misdemeanor count of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
Scharborough allegedly assaulted a victim, who sustained a laceration above her eye. The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital and was released.
