The Elmira Police Department is investigating an assault where one victim was stabbed in the eye.
The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. on Sunday on the 200 block of West Water Street.
Officers found a victim who told them he had been stabbed in the left eye. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to police, the victim and the suspect knew each other. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived and as of Monday, police had not located the suspect.
The investigation into the assault is ongoing.
