ELMIRA — The Elmira Police Department released the name of the woman who was found dead next to train tracks in Elmira on Monday.
According to police, 47-year-old Melissa Swido of Elmira was found on the gravel shoulder of the Norfolk Southern Railway bridge over Pennsylvania Avenue at around 10:37 a.m. on Monday.
The Elmira Police Department is being assisted by the Norfolk Southern Police.
