Bradford Suspect in Chemung Jail Gets Arrested on New Charge

Chemung County Sheriff’s Deputies didnt need to go far to arrest a suspect wanted on criminal charges in a neighboring county. Deputies walked into their own county jail and arrested NAVISHA L. MADDOX, 27, of 613 Halderman Hollow Road, Horseheads, who was wanted by authorities in Bradford County, Pa.


MADDOX was being housed in the Chemung County jail on a local criminal charge when it was learned she was wanted by the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office on a Bench Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear in court for charges stemming from a retail theft incident.


Chemung deputies arrested MADDOX as a Fugitive from justice. She was arraigned in Elmira City Court and remanded to the Chemung County jail without bail pending extradition across state lines to Bradford County on the warrant.
