Elmira police are hoping the community can help them solve some recent crimes. They’re looking for information on three separate incidents from the past couple of weeks. The most recent happened in the area of West Warren Street Sunday afternoon. Police say a pizza delivery driver was robbed just before 3:30 p.m. According to investigators, he was surrounded by three people while trying to make a delivery. They ran off after stealing cash. Two days before, police say a man was hurt during a home invasion robbery. That happened just before 10:30 p.m. Friday on the 600 block of South Main Street. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say this was not a random act. And earlier this month, in the early morning hours of November 2nd, officers responded to a report of shots fired along the 200 block of West Water Street. Police say there are no reports of any injuries from that shooting.
If you have information that could help with any of these investigations, you’re asked to call Elmira Police at (607) 271-HALT.
