The Elmira City School superintendent has left early to take on his new role with the Hendrick Hudson School District. Joe Hochreiter’s last day was Tuesday.
School board president Sara Lattin says the contract amendment allowed Hochreiter to take accrual time. She says Hochreiter needed to focus on his next career move. His resignation is still effective June 30th.
Hochreiter says he recognizes the district is busy with the budget and will make himself available for any questions the district has.
