Elmira Animal Control officers found an injured bald eagle, near the Dunn Field Fishing Point. The bird was in very poor condition when found. The officers wrapped it in one of their uniforms, to keep its talons from getting tangled and were able to safely bring it to a wildlife rehabilitator. The bird was then taken to Cornell for further treatment.
