Chemung County Sheriff deputies discovered a meth lab while executing an arrest warrant. Just before 7 o’clock Saturday morning, deputies responded to 1010 North Main Street in Elmira to execute a Superior Court warrant. While there, they noticed a strong odor and discovered a meth lab. Deputies arrested 26-year-old Jason Harvey of Elmira. Harvey has been charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the 3rd degree. Deputies also arrested 31-year-old Joli Milks of Elmira, who was wanted on Superior Court warrant for a probation violation. Harvey was sent to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. Milks was sent with no bail, pending a future court appearance. New York State Police and the Elmira Police Department assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
