The Elmira man wanted for robbing two convenience stores in one day is now in police custody. 29-year-old Corey Ryan was arrested without incident in Rochester on Tuesday. Police have been looking for Ryan after he allegedly performed an armed robbery at Uncle Jack’s convenience store in Southport last Tuesday. At the time, surrounding schools were put on lockdown. Later that night, surveillance video from the NOCO gas station near Rochester showed what appeared to be the same man performing another robbery. Ryan is being charged with both robbery and petit larceny, and has been sent to jail on $10,000 cash bail.
