On Friday, the Elmira Police Department and the New York State Police made an arrest in Elmira following an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine. 47-year-old Cassondra M. Carey of Elmira was charged with two counts of felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. A search warrant of her residence discovered cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
As part of the same crack cocaine investigation, police arrested 26-year-old Kaysaun D. Stewart in a separate case. Stewart was charged with three counts of felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and three counts of felony Criminal Possession of a controlled Substance.
