Family members have confirmed the identities of four children who were killed in a fire on Elmira’s south side Friday night. The victims were 17-year-old Courtney Stanton, and her siblings, 10-year-old Amera Mansour, 7-year-old N.J. Mansour, and 5-year-old Jordan Mansour. Close to 200 family and friends held a candlelight vigil for them Saturday night. The fire swept through the Morrow Street home a little after 9 p.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames. Neighbors say they tried to rescue the children before firefighters showed up to the home.
