Firefighters rescue dog from fire in Watkins Glen

Firefighters were able to rescue a dog from a house fire in Watkins Glen on Sunday.

According to WENY-TV, the fire broke out at around 11 a.m. on 11th street in Watkins Glen.

A dog was found unconscious inside the home. Firefighters immediately started CPR and were able to save the dog’s life.

No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported from the incident.

The Watkins Glen Fire Department was assisted by the Montour Falls and Burdett Fire Departments.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
