The Horseheads Elks Lodge No. 2297 made a donation of more than $4,000 to the family of injured Chemung County Sheriff’s Investigator Michael Theetge.
The local Elks lodge held a fish fry fundraiser to raise money for Theetge, who was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident while pursuing a suspect on March 29.
The Horseheads Elks presented a check for over $4,300 to a member of the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
