Horseheads High School senior Lucas Mosher took home the 2024 Ernie Davis Award.
The Ernie Davis Award is given out to a senior football player from the Elmira area who exemplifies the characteristics of Ernie Davis on and off the football field.
Mosher helped the Blue Raiders win their first Section IV championship since 1998. He ran for 850 yards and 16 touchdowns, while also catching 21 passes for 420 yards and five scores and finishing with 35 tackles and three interceptions on defense.
Elmira’s Nolan Edwards and Edison’s Jaden Bennett were also nominated for the award.
