The Horseheads Small Fry Football League has canceled the remainder of the 2024 season following several incidents where the police were called during games at Thorne Street Park.

According to WETM-TV, there have been multiple occasions where coaches, referees and parents were engaged in heated confrontations during games and Horseheads Police Officers were called to restore order.

Nearly 150 kids participate in the league, which has been in operation since 1961.

Each player who registered to play this year had to pay a $45 registration fee and sell $25 worth of raffle tickets. Parents are encouraged to contact the league through its Facebook page for any questions or refund possibilities.
