An inmate at the Chemung County Jail has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted two corrections officers.
26-year-old Reginald McBride of Elmira has been charged with two counts of felony assault in the second degree for assaulting a peace officer.
The criminal investigation division at the Chemung County Jail determined that McBride injured two officers during an incident at the jail on June 12th.
McBride also allegedly fought multiple corrections officers after the initial assault occurred.
The suspect was arraigned and returned to the Chemung County Jail. He was originally incarcerated on attempted murder and weapons charges stemming from a drive-by scooter shooting in downtown Elmira last November.
