Man indicted after police found drugs in his Horseheads hotel room

A man who was arrested after police found drugs in his Horseheads hotel room this past summer has been indicted on multiple felony charges.

According to WETM-TV, a Chemung County Grand Jury indicted Robert Howell on three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A2 felony, and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony.

Horseheads Police arrested Howell on July 12 after New York State Parole asked the department to help find him. Howell was on parole at the time and had not checked in with his parole officer.

Police found Howell at the Quality Inn in Horseheads and allegedly discovered methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms, other drugs, a scale and packaging materials inside his room.
