Painted Post woman charged after allegedly setting fire at gas station

A Painted Post woman was arrested after she allegedly threatened people with a knife and set a fire inside a gas station in Riverside on Friday.

The suspect allegedly threatened people passing by the gas station with a knife, and when police arrived she threatened to kill law enforcement officers.

According to police, 37-year-old Abbi E. Fuller was charged with arson in the third degree, a Class C felony; menacing a police officer, a Class D felony; and criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony, along with several misdemeanors.

New York State Police, Painted Post Police Department, Corning Police Department, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Painted Post Fire Department all responded to the scene.
