ELMIRA — The Elmira Police Department is investigating the death of a 47-year-old female who was found between East Hudson Street and Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday morning.
The victim was located on the gravel shoulder of the Norfolk Southern Railway. The identity of the deceased female is being withheld at this time.
The Elmira Police Department is being assisted by the Norfolk Southern Police.
