A probation officer was attacked by two dogs during a check-in on West Gray Street in Elmira on Tuesday.
According to Elmira Police, the incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. during a scheduled home visit.
The probation officer was transported to a local hospital with multiple puncture wounds and listed in stable condition.
Another probation officer on the scene shot and killed both dogs to stop the attack.
