A school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle in Horseheads on Wednesday.
According to WETM-TV, a Horseheads school bus was struck after traveling east on Gardner Road crossing Westinghouse Road with the right of way at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Horseheads police said the other car was being operated by an elderly individual, who went through the light in the northbound lane and hit the bus, causing little or no damage to the bus, but injuring the driver and passenger in the car. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The bus had five children on board and one sustained minor injuries but did not go to the hospital.
The driver of the car was ticketed for failure to yield to the right of way.
