The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Southport man as a fugitive from justice out of Pennsylvania.
According to police, 21-year-old Benjamin D. White was wanted out of Bradford County for failure to appear, with a lead offense of DUI: Controlled Substance, Schedule 1. He previously pleaded guilty to the charge.
The sheriff’s office received the warrant from Bradford County on Monday requesting that White, who was incarcerated in the Chemung County Jail, be held on the warrant.
White was arraigned in Chemung County Court and remanded back to the Chemung County Jail while awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
