A Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy has been arrested on child porn charges.
According to the United States Attorney for the Western District of New York, 34-year-old Hornell resident Stuart McHenry was charged with distribution and receipt of child pornography.
McHenry is accused of engaging in sexually explicit conversations as well as sending and receiving child porn on a digital messaging app.
Investigators allegedly discovered records of the child porn and conversations on McHenry’s iCloud account while executing a search warrant inside his home. Police said they also found more suspected child porn on his phone during the search in October.
McHenry was taken into custody on Friday. He was placed on administrative leave when the investigation began.
