Chemung County Legislator Rodney Strange is calling for an independent investigation into NYSEG.
Strange said in a Facebook post, that he wants the state legislature to conduct a bipartisan and independent investigation into issues with NYSEG. The issues include billing practices, operating procedures, electric costs, supply charges and smart meters.
The call for the investigation comes after a community meeting was held by NYSEG in Big Flats last week.
Strange is urging residents to contact their state senators and assembly members to help push for an investigation.
