A teenager was killed in a truck vs. E-Bike accident on Saturday in Painted Post.
According to the New York State Police, a 19-year-old male was operating an electric motorbike when he entered the roadway from a home on Victory Highway and failed to yield the right of way to a Dodge pickup truck hauling a trailer.
The E-Bike collided with the truck and trailer at around 11:24 a.m. on Saturday. The 19-year-old victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Guthrie Corning Hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the incident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
