One woman is dead after a cabin fire in the Town of Baldwin.
Officials say on Sunday, Kanisha Wood, 20, was taken to Robert Packer Hospital and later flown to LeHigh Valley Burn Center where she died of her injuries.
Wood’s mother, Carey, said on Tuesday that Kanisha and three men were making the illegal drug methamphetamine when their lab exploded.
Wood was burned over most of her body in the explosion; one of the men dropped her at Packer Hospital and left.
New York State Police are investigating.
