Corning Police responding to a report of a foul odor found a Meth Lab in full production.
Police say that Michael Wheeler, age 45, of Corning was manufacturing methamphetamine on the second floor of an East Denison Parkway address.
Hazmat teams removed the dangerous chemicals from the apartment.
Wheeler was arraigned yesterday morning and placed in Steuben County Jail without bail. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and criminal contempt for staying with a woman who had an order of protection against him.
Wheeler does have a criminal record and more charges are possible. He lives in Corning, but not at the premises of the Lab.  He will reappear in Corning City Court this morning.
