Couple Sentenced for Selling Stolen Parts

An Ithaca man has been sentenced for stealing industrial parts from his former employer and selling them on eBay.
50-year-old Michael Ruffino received a sentence of 1-3 years in jail Tuesday in Tompkins County Court. He will also have to pay restitution.
In 2007, Ruffino admits that he sold more than $50,000 worth of milling inserts online that he stole from Stork H&E Turbo-blading in Danby. Ruffino was convicted on charges of criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
His wife, Renee, was also convicted of conspiracy for helping her husband. The woman will be required to pay part of the restitution to Stork.
