The Pennsylvania woman who was found to be storing the dead bodies of her husband and twin sister will soon receive them back from the county morgue.
A walk-in crypt has been built in the backyard of Jean Stevens’ home in Wyalusing. The 91-year-old was found in June to be keeping the embalmed bodies of her husband and sister in the garage and a spare bedroom, respectively.
The bodies were taken to the county morgue and the district attorney promised to return them if Stevens built a suitable structure to store the bodies in. She has requested that the bodies be placed in a sealed two-layer bag that is partially see-through.
The bodies will be returned to Stevens next week.
