Governor Cuomo announced his opposition to tuition hikes at the SUNY Schools in his budget address on Tuesday.
SUNY has been struggling with a 30% reduction in state aid in the last three years and has petitioned Albany to allow an increase in tuition.
Cuomo also proposed no reduction in the state’s Tuition Assistance Program, which provides funding for both public and private college students.
