After Department of Motor Vehicles offices across the state experienced a computer glitch Monday, the problem has been fixed today. The DMV computers reportedly failed to update, hindering the agency’s ability to process paperwork. The computers are back up and running smoothly today. According to a DMV spokesman, a system upgrade on Sunday was not working adequately, and slowed all license and registration transactions for customers at the 35 DMV offices in New York. The same system is used by county clerks’ offices that process any DMV records. The agency says it will work with any customers who missed their filing deadlines as a result of the computer issues.
