Police in Elmira are investigating two separate robberies that were committed in the same night, and they are now on the lookout for two men. Friday night, police responded to a home invasion robbery on West Gray Street, where two suspects entered the home with handguns before fleeing the scene. Descriptions were given to police by the people inside the home at the time of the incident, with one suspect described as a stocky black male, five feet eight inches to five feet ten inches tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is a thin Hispanic man about six feet tall with an afro. During the investigation, police were alerted of a separate robbery just blocks away, with the victims in the other robbery giving similar descriptions.
