Johnson City Man Arrested And Charged With Rape

Endicott police have arrested a man who allegedly broke into a home where his ex-girlfriend was staying and tried to rape her.  Detectives say 27 year old Daniel White climbed through an unlocked window of a home on Monroe Street early this morning. They say he watched the victim sleep, used her cell phone and sexually abused and tried to rape her while she was asleep.  After a brief confrontation he ran off, but was later arrested at his home in Johnson City.  White is now charged with burglary, attempted rape and sexual abuse. He’s being held in the Broome County Jail without bail.
