A Bradford County man is homeless after his modular home was completely destroyed by a fire Tuesday.
No one was home when flames broke out at the Litchfield Township residence of Rod Arnold around 11am. Litchfield Fire Chief Joe Drake says firemen tried to attack inside the house but were driven back by a series of explosions.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire, and the explosions, is still under investigation.
Litchfield firefighters received help at the scene from members of the Athens Borough, Athens Township and Rome fire departments.
The Red Cross provided snacks and drinks for firefighters and is also helping Arnold with temporary housing and clothing.
