A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for all counties in our listening area.
The National Weather Service issued the warning just before 10am, saying that today’s heavy rain could cause flash flooding in low-drainage areas. The warning will run through 12pm Wednesday.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for local streams and creaks as well as area rivers through Thursday morning.
Besides the heavy rain of the past two days, strong winds are knocking down trees and causing some scattered power outages.
YNN Meteorologist Dan Russell says temperatures will slide down into the 30s by this evening and some of this rain could turn over to wet snow showers this afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to stay colder for the rest of the week. Keep listening to WEBO for the latest from the Your News Now Weather Center.
