A Flood Watch has been lifted for the Southern Tier as river levels are now projected to remain under flood stage in Conklin, Vestal, Waverly, and Owego. At 5am, river levels were measured by the National Weather Service at 10.38 feet at Conklin, 15.54 feet at Vestal, and 10 feet at Waverly, all one to two feet below minor flood stage. The levels are forecast to go down today, but could rise back up after rain later this week. In Owego, the river was measured at just over 22 feet this morning, well below the flood stage of 30 feet. We will continue to monitor the river levels and update them as needed on WEBO.
