Rain in the forecast has led the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Watch for the entire Southern Tier.
The watch is in effect from late Tuesday night through late Wednesday.
The weather service says light to moderate rain will continue into this evening, when it will become heavy at times through tomorrow morning. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour are also in the forecast.
The Southern Tier is expected to see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain, which could cause flooding of small streams and area rivers. Some flash flooding is possible Tuesday night.
