Former Athens Borough Fire Chief of 20 years, Mike Barry, passed away yesterday following a several yearlong battle with cancer. Barry was a life member of the Athens Borough Fire Department. He also worked as the Building and Grounds supervisor for the Sayre Borough School District for numerous years as well.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
