The Ithaca Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a large fight. The fight happened in the 600 block of Chestnut Street around 8:50 p.m. Thursday. Two officers found a woman on the street with a stab wound to her neck area. Three additional women were found with stab wounds by other officers. Bangs Ambulances were brought to the scene. All four victims were transported to the Cayuga Medical Center for treatment. Three of the women were transferred to a regional trauma center. The fourth victim was treated and released from the hospital. According to the press release, the stab wounds do not appear to be life threatening at this time.
Several subjects were taken into custody. Ithaca Police were assisted at the scene by New York State Police, New York State Park Police, New York State DEC Police, Tompkins County Sheriff and the Cayuga Heights Police Department. No additional information is being released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
