Four Union-Endicott students have been honored with the prestigious Girl Scout Silver Award.
Amanda Kimler, Erin Koral, Rachel Oltmer and Gabrielle Rockwell organized and hosted the “Fitness is Fun Day” at Linneaus West Primary School last year.
The eighth-graders worked with the kindergarten through fourth grade students to educate them on making healthy choices and self-awareness.
The Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette Girl Scout (grades 6-8) can earn.
The four girls are now enrolled as ninth-graders at the Union-Endicott High School.
They are members of the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, a council that covers 26 counties in New York and Pennsylvania.
All four will be honored at 6:45 p.m. on March 7th before the regular meeting of the Union-Endicott Board of Education in the UEHS Library and also at a NYPENN “Young Women of Distinction” event in May.
