With celebrations being held all over our area to ring in the new year tomorrow evening, residents of the Binghamton and Sayre areas are able to receive free taxi rides home. Attorney Tom Schimmerling is holding what he calls Safe Night for the 19th year in a row. Between the hours of midnight and 4AM, if you need a ride in the Binghamton area, you can call 779-1000, and a taxi will be dispatched to you. You will not be billed, and don’t need to sign any paperwork.
Also, Greater Valley EMS is providing free rides home within a 10-mile radius of Sayre on New Year’s Eve. You must make a reservation though, by calling 570-888-6000 or by visiting Greater Valley EMS’ website.
