Get ready for Tioga County Fair starting Tuesday with rides and rodeo

(Owego, NY) – The 164th Tioga County Fair in Owego, NY kicks off on Tuesday, August 8th at Marvin Park Fairgrounds, 50 W. Main St. Admission gates open at 2:30, rides at 4pm and the Painted Pony Championship Rodeo begins at 7 at the grandstand.

Wednesday’s and Friday’s grandstand attraction is the fan favorite demolition derby at 7pm both nights. The kids Powerwheels Derby is Friday at 6pm.

On Thursday at 7pm, for the first time ever it’s the ATV and Dirt Bike Rodeo. This obstacle course competition is for local ATV and dirt bike riders alike.  The Dash for Cash is a barrel race for local horse riders that is also at 7pm Thursday. Winners for all these events will earn cash prizes.

Saturday is full of fun all day with the truck and tractor pulls. The “Out of the Field Farm Stock” pull begins at 1 pm. The New York Pullers Truck and Tractor pull is at 7pm, both events at the grandstand. There is also a truck pull category for stock 4x4s. The public is encouraged to register for any and all of these events, competitions and more.

The Gillette Family Midway is back with top notch rides and amusement.  The not-to-be-missed 4H and FFA projects, competitions and auctions continue all week long at the cattle barn area. The Tioga County Fair arts and crafts area is chock full of competitions for all Tioga County residents. Be sure to check the premium book to discover how to enter your creation. Also included is the Exotic petting zoo, air rifle range, 4H Clover Cafe, numerous vendor displays and more. All inclusive Admission is $15 daily for everyone.
