The New York State Police are investigating the robbery of a good Samaritan on Route 88 Saturday.
A tractor trailer driver, traveling eastbound on Interstate 88 between Exits 9 and 10, stopped to help two men who flagged him down.
Once stopped, one of the men approached the truck driver and requested to use his cell phone.
On receiving the cell phone, the man told the driver to give him his money.
No weapon was displayed but was implied.
The two men then fled in a recent model blue Honda with New York state license plates (gold colored “Legend” registration plates).
The man who approached the driver is described as a white male, in his early 20’s, wearing a black “hoodie” sweatshirt and gray pants.
The second man is described as being a white male, in his early 20’s, wearing a white shirt and no jacket.
