A favorite area park will soon see a face lift as its swings into Spring. The Town of Union Board approved a resolution ordering $106,000 worth of new equipment for the playground at Highland Park. The price tag includes wood carpet engineered wood fiber safety surfacing and a wheelchair ramp. Town of Union Supervisor John Bernardo says there’s plenty of new fun planned including swings and slides. Installation is scheduled to begin late this Spring. Bernardo says the plans have been in the works for a while. The Parks Department is providing the funds.
