Inmate From Steuben County Murdered At Five Points Correctional

A prisoner from Steuben County was found dead in his cell, and police are considering it a homicide. Thomas Blancke was serving a three-year sentence for attempted burglary after he was accused of stealing scrap metal. On Saturday he was found dead in his prison cell at Five Points Correctional Facility. State Police have ruled the death a homicide, but no further details have been released at this time.
