Ithaca Police responded to a robbery early Tuesday morning at a Cayuga Street business. At around 3:45 a female employee said she heard noise coming from the front desk and began to exit her office, but the door was being held shut from the other side. She was eventually able to open the door, at which point she saw two men jumping over the counter and running out of the front door. She saw the cash drawer on the register was opened and immediately activated the panic alarm. The men left with an undisclosed amount of cash, the employee was not physically harmed, and no weapons were shown by the suspects. The employee was able to give the men’s heights as well as their clothing at the time, as police continue their search.
